U of I Classroom Presentation

Writer's picture: Ryan LawRyan Law

We had the privilege of visiting a Biology 213 class at the University of Idaho last week - Structure and Function Across the Tree of Life. We talked about the squirrel life cycle and how we rehab and release orphaned and injured squirrels. We had some good conversations about native vs. non-native species and the role of wildlife rehab in our local ecosystem. There were over 70 students there who learned what we do AND got to see some cute baby squirrels!

The student's lab assignment for the week was to find wild squirrels around campus and make behavioral observations of them - a great chance for them to follow up on what they learned from us about squirrel behavior.
