Towel Donation Drive
Due to the great number of towels that rehabbers go through in order to properly look after the wildlife in their care, PWRR's youth ambassadors have stepped up to meet that need by coordinating occasional towel donation drives. In this way, not only are our young volunteers able to play an important role in animal care by gathering key materials for wildlife in need, but they also extend the life of second hand goods and keep them out of local landfills.
Traveling Donation Box
In order to facilitate towel donations from individuals in the community, we periodically partner with local businesses, organizations and places of worship that have graciously offered to host our traveling donation box designed by our youth ambassadors. When this box has been placed at a participating location, you can donate by following the instructions in the “Get Involved!” section below!
Collaboration
Like-minded groups occasionally team up with us to help secure the items we need. We are currently working in concert with a University of Idaho sociology class. These students have graciously volunteered to help with our current donation drive as one of their semester action projects! We hold so much gratitude in our hearts for students like these who leverage their studies and work diligently to help make the world a better place!
Distribution
Our youth ambassadors often gather enough materials that we have plenty to meet all of our own needs and then some. This means that we have the privilege of sharing resources with other animal welfare organizations in the area, so that they have more time and money to focus on what matters most- the wellbeing of the animals in their care.
If you'd like to participate in this donation drive, we are currently accepting gently used towels and baby blankets.
